I work as a Data Scientist at Credit Suisse in Zurich. The role combines mathematical knowledge with coding algorithms to solve business problems.

What did you like most about studying Computer Science?

A large part of the lessons were hands-on experiences which proved to be very useful for future worklife. I also loved the small group size which enabled a lot of personal feedback from our teacher.

What did you go on to study or do after leaving Hockerill?

Mathematics @ ETH Zurich, Switzerland

What attracted you into a Computer Science profession?

Definitely the experiences made in school but also the idea of being in a growth industry and doing something that influences everyone's daily life.

What helped you getting to where you are now?

I have previously worked in IT consulting which helped me gain valuable insights into the software lifecycle and project management.

What advice would you give to students interested in Computer Science?

Always be curious to try out new ways of solving a problem. Always be proud when your code solves the task at hand.
