What did you like most about studying Computer Science?

The frequent practical work, and interesting topics that helped explain how modern technology works.

What did you go on to study or do after leaving Hockerill?

Computer Science at Leeds University

What attracted you into a Computer Science profession?

You are not limited to only work in some industries, and no two projects are the same.

What helped you getting to where you are now?

Worked on various small and large projects in my spare time, like creating websites, games and web servers to learn new interesting programming and engineering concepts. Doing this made my time at university a lot easier (and more enjoyable), as well as helping me land job offers and my internship during studies. I have also help facilitate sessions for Code First Girls, a charity that seeks to provide the skills and inspiration for women to help them get a career in tech.

What advice would you give to students interested in Computer Science?

Theory is great but practice makes perfect. Doing personal projects really helps to give context to your learning, and will make you stand out to employers. Also, internships are amazing ways to gain experience and open doors for other opportunities!
